Double Bass specialist
Welcome to my website!
In this digital age I realised that having a website is a fun way to let the world know what I am about and what I have to offer. From informing what concerts I’ll be playing to having a place to share my arrangements for various ensembles and share links to my bass tutorials online.
Currently I am the Principal Double Bass with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and the Double Bass lecturer at the South African College of Music, part of the University of Cape Town.
I also perform chamber music and solo concerts in various combinations and venues.
With over 30 years of experience playing, teaching and doing minor repairs I am highly specialised in the field of Double Bass.
Next to having all the knowledge about the Double bass I am also a qualified Personal Trainer and Yoga instructor and I use that knowledge towards helping musicians who struggle with strength, flexibility and anxiety.
Besides being active as a musician I have a passion for motorbikes and riding them whenever and where I can. To show how beautiful riding around Cape Town is I have started a YouTube channel Cape Town MotoLife.
